The Phuket Butterfly Garden & Insect World, considered one of the bests due to its divers collection of butterfly species and rare insects, is truly a delight for tourists. Inside the garden are various kinds of flowers, fluttering butterflies of different colors and rare insects living in a simulated mini environments.
 
Walk in the garden around butterflies flying around. It is indeed a great place families with small kids, honeymooners, and even for groups. Relax in the sweet sounds of birds, man-made waterfalls, with soothing music.

Formerly the Phuket Butterfly and Aquarium and founded by Dr. Prasit Koysiripong in 1990, Phuket Butterfly Garden and Insect World is the first in Thailand. It now serves as a research center for butterfly and insect culture and conservation.

Today, all butterflies inside the garden had been bred here, and in order maintain an ecological balance a number of butterflies are released to allow them to breed naturally.

We have visited many butterfly houses around the world. But this is the place where we can call the real butterfly house. Actually, we used to be here once about 3 years ago. It wasn't so impressed. This time we are told that it is changed a lot, so we just try. It is much improved. the leaf butterflies are so beautiful. They are lots and pretty. We sure we will come back again.

Lots of butterflies

We have a splendid time at the garden. We actually were suggested by tuk tuk driver and just gave a try. It work out brilliently. The place is so colourful and there are lots of butterfly. One of them just stop and take a rest on my shirt, which give me an opportunity to observe her (I think) closely. We really have a great time.
