Heartfelt fine Indian dining experience

One of the oldest and most reputable Indian restaurant establishment in downtown Bangkok, Indian Hut's fine dining traditions and philosophy of service has attracted a wide scope of regular clients and sets it apart from countless Indian restaurants in town.

"We take it as our mission to introduce fine Indian cuisine to people of different cultures," Bobby, Indian Hut's manager, says proudly.  "There are many Indian restaurants in Bangkok but we offer fine dining for patrons who know what fine dining is about."

Our service philosophy stems from the belief that we must be sincere with our business and at Indian Hut our philosophy is "Serving you straight from the heart," says Bobby who is a veteran of more than a decade in Indian restaurant management.

"All our staff and chefs have that belief of providing services that comes straight from the heart and the personal touch," he said.  "Our ambience was designed to be comfortable and neat for guests to feel at home."

For those not accustomed to the wide range of Indian cuisine, it will not be a problem as Bobby assures all clients that food recommendation is one of his most important mission.

"It is not about selling but to introduce Indian food to the widest crowd possible," he says.

Indian Hut has been in business for 20 years and have been a multi-recepient of best restaurant awards and was showcased on several television programs throughout the years.

"I am proud to say that on weekends, we have a large number of Thai patrons who come to sample fine Indian dining."

"Our home-style Paneer Tikka (made from cottage cheese cubes in yoghurt and spices) is made with less oil, he said.

Other popular dishes include Kababs made from mutton, chicken or prawns and the Lamb Rack, that is only available at Indian Hut.  And the Jheenga Taw Masala (prawns cooked on a hot plate) is also a patrons' favorite.

Another specialty of Indian Hut that cannot be found elsewhere is the fusion of north Indian and Chinese cuisine.

"Some people has never tasted the mixture of Indian and Chinese cuisine," he said.

"And for our clients who are not accustomed to Indian food or those looking for hot, we can adjust the spiciness to be mild to extra hot."

Their menus are expanded every six months to offer new experiences for clients says Bobby.

Indian Hut also caters for a long list of five-star hotels such as the Conrad and Intercontinental hotels and all chefs were recruited from five-star hotels.

Indian Hut is on the corner of Surawongsri Road opposite Manora Hotel.  It has a pleasant ambience of fine dining and its second floor has the capacity to host an event for up to 70 persons.
